Part Time 20- 24 hrs per week Position Summary ZionLee Health LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and qualified Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the delivery of primary care services to patients in their homes and other designated care settings. The CMA will assist the healthcare provider with patient assessments within the authorized scope of practice, vital sign collection, medication reconciliation, medical documentation, and coordination of patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Clinical Patient Care Obtain and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, height, and weight. Assist with patient intake and collection of medical histories. Perform medication reconciliation and document current medications and allergies. Prepare patients for examinations and assist the healthcare provider during visits. Perform approved clinical procedures within training, certification, and applicable scope-of-practice requirements. Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing when authorized. Assist with wound care and dressing changes when appropriately trained and authorized. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising provider. Reinforce provider-directed patient education and care instructions. 2. Visiting Primary Care Support Travel to patients' homes or designated care locations as scheduled. Prepare necessary medical equipment and supplies before patient visits. Assist with in-home patient assessments and examinations. Maintain patient privacy, safety, and infection-control standards. Communicate patient concerns and clinical findings promptly to the healthcare provider. 3. Medical Documentation and Records Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Record vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and relevant patient information. Assist with medical records management and documentation completion. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Assist with laboratory orders, referrals, and follow-up coordination as assigned. 4. Administrative and Office Support Assist with patient scheduling and appointment confirmations. Answer patient telephone calls and direct clinical questions to the appropriate provider. Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and laboratories. Assist with insurance verification and other administrative tasks as assigned. Maintain clinical supplies and inventory. Patient Transportation and Travel Responsibilities Drive to patients' homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, adult foster homes, and other designated healthcare locations to provide clinical support during scheduled primary care visits. Travel throughout the assigned service area to assist the healthcare provider with in-home and facility-based patient care. Coordinate travel schedules and appointment locations with the healthcare provider and administrative team. Transport and organize necessary medical equipment, clinical supplies, and patient care materials required for scheduled visits. Ensure medical equipment and supplies are properly stored and secured during transportation. Maintain a valid driver's license, appropriate vehicle insurance, and a safe driving record. Provide reliable and timely transportation to assigned patient care locations. Follow all applicable traffic laws and organizational vehicle safety policies. Promptly communicate travel delays, scheduling changes, or transportation-related concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct while traveling to and providing services at patient locations.
Transportation Requirement:
This position requires regular driving to patients' residences and designated healthcare facilities as part of routine job responsibilities. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between multiple patient locations during scheduled working hours are required. Pay:
