We are looking for a Medical Assistant who brings warmth, attention to detail, flexibility, and excellent clinical support to our team. What You'll Do Support providers with patient intake, vitals, documentation, and clinic flow Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits Perform appropriate in-office testing and procedures within your training and scope Assist with newborn screens, strep testing, and other routine clinical needs Support communication and follow-up with patients and families Help coordinate labs, referrals, records, forms, and other patient-care needs Maintain clean, organized, well-stocked clinical spaces Accurately document and manage information within our electronic health record Work closely with providers and the rest of the Cultivate team to create an exceptional experience for every family Pitch in where needed in a growing, small-practice environment What We're Looking For Medical Assistant certification, registration, or comparable clinical training Experience in pediatrics or family medicine preferred A genuine passion for working with children and families Exceptional customer service and communication skills Warm, calm, and professional demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dependability and the ability to follow through Comfort with technology and learning new systems Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative Alignment with Cultivate's mission and family-centered approach to care Position Details 30-40 hours per week In-person position in Dallas, Oregon Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to grow as Cultivate continues to expand Why Cultivate? Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy (blood draws), administering medications under supervision, and basic wound care. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately, including medical documentation and coding (ICD coding). Support medical office management through scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating follow-up care. Assist with specialized procedures such as X-ray imaging or basic physiology assessments in outpatient or inpatient settings. Requirements Prior experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical documentation practices. Experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Knowledge of ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and medical assisting procedures such as vital signs collection and specimen handling. Inpatient experience or hospital-based roles such as Level I or Level II trauma center experience are advantageous.
