Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Administrative Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. This energetic position combines clinical responsibilities with administrative support, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support in a fast-paced environment that values efficiency, compassion, and professionalism. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and ready for patient visits. Perform clinical tasks to include EKG's, PFT's, Strep Tests, Flu Tests, vaccine administration, hearing exams, vision exams... Assist the doctors with procedures when needed. Schedule appointments, follow-up on patient referrals and specialist appointments, and assist in coordinating office patient flow efficiently. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office environment with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR (Epic Preferred) systems and electronic health records management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required . Prior outpatient office experience in settings such as multi provider primary care offices or clinics is highly desirable. Familiarity with Medical Assistant skills including (but not limited to): accurately performing & documenting vitals, administering vaccines, performing EKG's, PFT's and other tests, ensuring the medical chart is updated for all visits, and obtaining prior authorizations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently, ability to focus on the details, and the ability to multi-task. Excellent patient service skills with exceptional telephone etiquette and communication skills.
