Medical Assistant / Scribe -
Dermatology Locations:
Soddy-Daisy & Cleveland, Tennessee About the Practice Our growing dermatology team serves patients in both Soddy-Daisy and Cleveland , providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. We are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate skin care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Scribe who is comfortable working at both locations and thrives in a collaborative clinical setting. Position Summary The Medical Assistant / Scribe will support the provider by performing clinical and administrative duties, documenting patient encounters in real time, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This role requires strong multitasking skills, professionalism, and the ability to travel between our Soddy-Daisy and Cleveland offices as scheduled.
Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
Room patients and obtain medical histories Record vital signs and update medication lists Prepare patients for examination and procedures Assist with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other dermatologic procedures Perform suture removal and basic wound care Sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms
Scribing Duties:
Document provider-patient encounters in the EMR in real time Enter orders, diagnoses, and treatment plans Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Administrative Support:
Schedule appointments and assist with patient follow-up Process prescription refills and prior authorizations Coordinate pathology reports and patient communication Qualifications Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/RMA) Previous dermatology experience strongly preferred Scribing experience highly desirable Strong typing and computer skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Soddy-Daisy and Cleveland locations because you will be working at both locations. Work Schedule Full-time preferred (Monday-Friday) Must be flexible to rotate between both office locations Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Health benefits (if applicable) Opportunities for growth within the practice Why Join Us?
