Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting current health concerns Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient status accurately Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including setting up necessary equipment and ensuring comfort Support physicians and nurses with clinical tasks like medication administration, and basic life support when needed Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedure Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; certification must be current and maintained according to state regulations Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or specialty units like dermatology or internal medicine Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately support clinical activities Experience with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management Ability to perform clinical skills including vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic emergency response techniques such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong communication skills focused on patient service excellence and teamwork in fast-paced environments Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and patient interactions Join us in making a difference!
