Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented medical assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient services. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, proficiency in medical procedures, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience in hospital or clinic settings, is highly valued. The medical assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and updating records Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Support physicians with clinical tasks Operate EHR systems accurately to document patient encounters and treatment plans Assist with ICD coding for billing and insurance purposes Support procedures Provide patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout visits Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards Collaborate with healthcare teams across specialties Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology and medication. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or specialized fields are a plus Familiarity with Eclinical EMR systems and front office support functions Ability to perform clinical duties such as vital signs collection, patient intake, and assisting with procedures. Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and effective teamwork
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
