The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of internal medicine, patient service, and basic life support, as well as familiarity with clinic operations and urgent care environments. Duties Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care in a clinic setting, including taking patient histories and vital signs Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance information Support coding and documentation processes to ensure accurate billing and compliance with healthcare regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to promote patient safety and comfort Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive care for patients, including those at a Level II Trauma Center Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and basic health maintenance practices Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments and care planning Respond promptly to urgent care situations while adhering to established protocols Experience Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required Previous experience in a clinical or urgent care setting is required. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent patient service Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus Knowledge of coding practices related to internal medicine is beneficial Join our team and contribute to providing exceptional healthcare services while advancing your career in the medical field.
