Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within our clinic, ensuring efficient medical administrative support and assisting healthcare professionals in various tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in settings such as dermatology, hospitals, and trauma centers. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic. Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and health maintenance. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in dermatology or a Level II Trauma Center, is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential. Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, billing, and insurance processing is beneficial. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics is a plus. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within the first month of employment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction.
