Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support a mobile clinic team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic, community-based setting and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Collect and document patient information including vital signs, height/weight, BMI, medical history, medications, and allergies with a high level of accuracy

Assist in gathering biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental patient data

Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with clinical procedures as needed

Perform basic clinical tasks including specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and treatments (e.g., nebulizer treatments, ear irrigation, dressing changes)

Utilize medical equipment such as thermometers, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, and screening tools

Update patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with clinic protocols

Support patient flow and coordinate care with providers and clinical staff in a fast-paced mobile environment

Maintain infection control standards in accordance with OSHA and

CLIA/COLA

guidelines

Provide culturally sensitive, age-appropriate care to pediatric and adult patients

Deliver excellent customer service and communication to patients, families, and team members

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program required

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required

Bilingual (Spanish/English) required

Current BLS certification (AHA) required

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices

Experience with basic lab equipment (centrifuge, microscope, specimen collection) preferred

Familiarity with pediatric care and mobile or community health settings a plus

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to adapt to a mobile clinic environment and work effectively in a team setting

Accepted Certifications Include:

CCMA (NHA), CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or EMT/Paramedic certifications (Texas DSHS)
