Lifetime Vitality Clinic - Healthcare Plus Primary Care / Walk-in / Services designed to elevate quality of life Portland, TX Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations: Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity where your skills and patient service will make a meaningful difference in patients care and wellbeing. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status. Lab specimen collection and blood draw. Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and sterilize equipment to maintain a safe clinical environment. Support healthcare providers with procedures and IV therapy as necessary Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters Facilitate patient flow through scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, and providing pre-visit instructions. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring comfort during visits. Qualifications Two years experience working as Medical Assistant in a similar setting. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures. Reception Experience with insurance verification/Availity is a plus Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing medical documentation accurately. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs and triage Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to work effectively within our healthcare team.
