This is a dual role position which requires floating between working the front office reception/check in and working in the back office as a medical assistant. Responsibilities include providing patient care services such as assisting the providers by entering patient history and chief complaints into the electronic medical record system, documenting vitals, administering appropriate medications as per Medical Provider instructions, performing necessary blood draws and other various duties as assigned. Check-in patients into the facility for medical treatment which is perfomed by obtaining demographic information as well as the collection of various required forms and insurance authorization, if applicable. This position will be responsible for scheduling, verifying insurance plans and collecting the necessary co-payments and offering discount plans if the patient doesn't have insurance. Athena EHR and/or Practice Fusion, UPDOX experience preferred. This position requires compassion and an understanding of the patient's needs and providing optimal customer service. The clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday Salary commensurate with experience. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant certification Proficient in medical administrative support and EHR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience in patient care, including vital signs and intake procedures Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with urgent care and dermatology practices Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including trauma centers
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
