Medical Assistant - Day Shift (7AM - 7PM)

Spring, TX 77379 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at a freestanding emergency room in Pearland, TX. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) that plays a vital role in supporting clinical and administrative operations during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities Verify patient insurance information accurately and efficiently. Collect and process laboratory specimens as directed by clinical staff. Perform various reception duties including patient check-in and check-out. Assist clinical staff with patient care and preparation as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Ensure proper documentation and data entry into electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers. Support the emergency room team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow during night hours. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Previous experience working in a freestanding emergency room or urgent care setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and laboratory procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shift hours.
