The Float Pool Medical Assistant provides flexible coverage across multiple clinic locations and is responsible for supporting clinic operations based on staffing and patient care needs. The Float Pool Medical Assistant works closely with physicians, MAs, and other clinical and office staff to ensure efficient clinic flow and continuity of care. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to quickly transition between different providers, clinic locations, and work flows while maintaining a high standard of patient care and customer service. Position Responsibilities Direct Patient Care Provide MA coverage at assigned clinic locations based on organizational staffing needs. Room patients efficiently while adhering to the physician's designated clinic schedule. Perform and document vital signs, height, weight, and blood-oxygen saturation in the electronic medical record. Review medication, family, social, medical, and surgical history with patients and update the electronic medical record appropriately. Perform electrocardiograms (EKG). Apply and educate patients on Holter, event, and telemetry cardiac monitors. Collaborate with other MAs and clinical staff to ensure efficient clinic flow for the provider. Provide timely responses to patient clinical inquiries via telephone, email, or in person. Review, communicate, and educate patients regarding laboratory results, imaging studies, medication refills, and medication changes per protocol and at the physician's request. Adapt to the workflow and clinical needs of different providers and clinic locations. Back Office Duties Prepare patient clinical charts. Assist with drug refill request and laboratory blood draws. Obtain and abstract outside medical records. Clean and maintain medical equipment. Manage and restock medical supplies. Receive and provide timely responses to patient clinical inquiries via telephone, email, or in person. Assist with other clinical and administrative tasks as needed to support clinic operations. Float Pool Responsibilities Maintain flexibility to work at various clinic locations based on organizational needs. Provide temporary coverage for MAs who are absent, on leave, or otherwise unavailable. Assist clinics experiencing increased patient volume or staffing needs. Work with different positions, clinical teams, and workflows while maintaining consistent standards of care. travel between assigned clinic locations as scheduled. Maintain readiness to adjust assignments and locations based on changing operational needs. Communicate effectively with clinic leaderhsip regarding coverage needs, workflow concerns, and patient care issues. Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability when working with different teams and patient populations. Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
