Job description We are a local medical office looking for a fun, friendly, fast-paced medical assistant ready to work diligently for the growth of the practice. YOU WILL BE

Rooming patients and collecting vital signs. Verifying patient demographics, chief complaint, and updating medical history. Relaying instructions to patients as instructed by the physician. Assisting physician with examinations and procedures. Assisting in lab procedures, blood draw, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens. Authorizing prescription refills as directed by the physician. Administering immunizations and office medications. Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent/emergent situations. Keeping work area and rooms clean and stocked.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Medical Assistant or three years of experience (preferred). Must maintain patient confidentiality. Experience with an electronic medical records system (preferred). Possesses a willingness to accept direction, constructive feedback, and perform repetitive tasks. Spanish language skills are a plus.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Maintains good hygiene and professional appearance, no facial piercings. Patient, courteous, and tactful with patients and other staff. Must be able to follow directions well from the provider and supervisor. Must be able to work as a team helping where needed. Must have good communication skills.

PAY AND BENEFITS

Pay based on experience. Paid holidays. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
