Job Description

Overview We are a primary care office seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient service. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our physicians to assist in patient care. Duties and Qualifications Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information. Call patients with test results and assist with coordinating treatment plans for patients. Perform clinical tasks such as EKG, ear irrigation, immunizations, injections and assisting the physician with clinical exams and minor skin surgeries. Perform point of care testing such as urine tests, strep tests, covid tests, and cultures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment to adhere to safety standards. Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk duties. Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with EHR systems. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery. Ability to work with attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment.
Pay:
$18.50 - $22.00 per hour
