Medical Staff Services Director, FT Days (57843) El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905 Apply Overview Level Management Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Category Management Apply Description Responsible for managing all internal and external activities of the Medical Staff Office (MSO) and serves as a liaison between Medical Staff, Chief Medical Officer, and Administration. Qualifications Work Experience Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities as specified. License/Registration/Certification NAMSS Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Service Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Credentials Specialist (CPCS) or actively pursuing and ability to become certified within one year of hire. Education and Training Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field required. Skills Ability to supervise others to ensure accomplishment of Medical Staff Office requirements. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work well and get along with others to foster a cooperative work environment. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgements. Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions. Ability to process computer data and to forma and generate reports. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Skill in developing policy and procedures. Knowledge of applicable accreditation and certification requirements. Knowledge of credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
