Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Oversee the day-to-day management of the clinic. Liaise with patients and staff to provide highest quality of patient care while staying compliant to all federal, state, local regulations, and corporate guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily clinic operation.
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Directs, supervises, and motivates staff, and ensures they understand and adheres to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Manage the fluctuation peaks in patient flow schedule, acuity, and other operational demand while maintaining quality.
  • Coordinates patient flow.
  • Schedules and coordinates procedures for surgery center/office
  • Ensures nursing stations and examination areas are maintained in a manner consistent with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
  • Ensure the clinic is compliant to federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to patients' confidentiality and risk management.
  • Ensure all medical records are updated.
  • Coordinates the inventory, ordering and supply stock maintenance of medical supplies.
  • Cost control
  • Brings quality improvement and does utilization review.
  • Strong understanding of medical insurance verification, benefit plans and patient demographic
  • Prepares and maintains MA schedule.
  • Steps in to cover schedule lags as necessary.
  • Participate in the interview and hiring of new MA staff.
  • Review and approve timesheets, leave, travel reimbursement, over time, etc.
  • Model/mentor and train staff on technical skills
  • Stay abreast on current technologies/practices and train staff on it.
  • Performs all the duties of MA when needed.
  • Accompany patients to exam room when necessary
  • Have some knowledge in all office procedures for example (EVLT, RFA, I&D, TST)
  • Understands Medical Insurance verification, benefit plans, patients' authorization, and validity.
  • Travel to all locations as needed.
  • Ability to work on weekends as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • AA degree in Medical Management or Medical Assistant or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
  • Ability to understand, adhere and institutionalize established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Strong charting/documentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to manage and motivate people.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
