Job Description

Director of Business Office Join Ambassador Healthcare, a leader in senior living care, as we seek a highly skilled Director of Business Office to lead our financial and administrative operations. As a key member of our team, the Director of Business Office will oversee resident trust accounts, manage facility banking activities, and support general business operations at our long-term care facility. This role requires a strong understanding of financial record-keeping, as well as exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee resident trust accounts, including deposits and withdrawals, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Receive and process payments for resident care and services, issuing receipts and posting transactions to resident accounts. Manage facility banking activities, including preparing deposits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring proper internal controls are followed. Prepare and submit administrative and financial reports to management and regulatory agencies as required. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general business office functions as needed. Maintain organized and up-to-date files for audits and inspections. Support month-end and year-end financial processes related to facility bookkeeping and billing.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in business or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of Business Office experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Work Environment:
This position works in a business office within a long-term care facility. Must be able to interact professionally with staff, residents, and outside vendors.
