Overview We are seeking a compassionate Patient Care Representative who specializes in Sleep Equipment (CPAP) to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, education & support to patients requiring sleep therapy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, medical office experience, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations to ensure seamless patient interactions and equipment management. Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding sleep equipment needs, education, questions: in-person communication & via phone communications Assist patients with the setup, instruction, and troubleshooting of sleep therapy devices such as CPAP machines. Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, equipment orders, and service activities in compliance with health regulation policies. Provide administrative support including data entry, appointment scheduling, and managing patient correspondence using Microsoft Office tools. Educate patients on proper device usage, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols while maintaining a compassionate approach. Experience Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical administrative tasks such as insurance verification and maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy (such as HIPAA) and medical device standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, professionally - in person & via phone Basic understanding of medical terminology is desirable.
