The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, dental office procedures, and healthcare administration. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional skills in fiscal management, team supervision, compliance, and patient service. The Dental Office Manager will ensure the practice runs efficiently, maintains high standards of patient care, and adheres to all healthcare regulations and policies. Duties Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize productivity and patient satisfaction. Oversee financial activities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and medical billing processes to ensure fiscal health of the practice. Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, and state/federal health policy requirements. Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health record (EHR) systems using software like
OPENDENTAL
for efficient patient management. Monitor practice performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and patient care quality. Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical administrative functions and ensure adherence to healthcare practice management standards. Facilitate communication between providers, staff, patients, and external vendors to foster a collaborative work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in a dental office or healthcare setting Previous dental office management or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of dental insurance, eligibility, benefits, and verification Experience submitting and following up on dental insurance claims Knowledge of CDT codes, pre-authorizations, treatment plans, and claim attachments Experience managing accounts receivable (A/R), denials, EOBs, and outstanding balances Strong understanding of dental terminology and office procedures Experience with dental practice management software with Open Dental preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to train, supervise, and support front-office staff as well as back-office staff Professional and compassionate patient communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Bilingual English/Spanish preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Join our team as a Dental Office Manager to lead a dedicated healthcare practice that prioritizes exceptional patient care through effective leadership, operational excellence, and compliance adherence!
