Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and secure medical records for our patients. This is a full-time position, working 3 days a week, and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients, including charting, scanning, and filing documents Review and abstract medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness Conduct searches and retrieves medical records as needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as answering phones, taking messages, and providing general administrative support
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required 0-1 year of experience in medical records or a related field Strong understanding of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
