Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at the front desk Schedule, confirm, and reschedule dental appointments using electronic scheduling systems Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and efficiency Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing inquiries using medical billing software such as Epic or Meditech Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR systems), including documentation review and data entry in systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive medical records appropriately Assist with clinical administrative support, including filing, faxing, scanning, and managing medical records Handle phone communication with professionalism, answering inquiries about appointments, insurance, or clinic services Support documentation review related to care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare requirements Perform clerical tasks such as typing reports, 10-key data entry, and maintaining organized filing systems Experience Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with medical office management is a plus Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, including health information management and medical billing procedures Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is desirable Demonstrated ability to handle medical terminology accurately and efficiently Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for administrative tasks Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively Experience with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance standards is essential Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through energetic service and meticulous administrative support.
