In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, casino floor tasks, and ensuring compliance with gaming and casino rules. Your keen eye and quick response will help prevent incidents, protect assets, and maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property. Minimum Requirements MUST be 21 years of age or older MUST have a current CA Guard Card MUST have a minimum of 24 hours of CA Guard Card training hours and be able to provide proof of completion. State background checks to obtain a city work permit. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to observe activity and identify potential security threats. Control access to the facility performing bag/ID checks and preventing unwanted persons or objects from entering. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security breaches Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or concerns Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management procedures to handle disputes calmly and effectively Operate emergency response procedures including AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or casino floor supplies. Ensure compliance with all security regulations and company policies at all times. Enforce parking rules and issue tickets to staff parked outside the designated area. Experience Prior experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Familiarity with surveillance tools including CCTV systems and access control systems Ability to write thorough and detailed incident reports. Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures is preferred Knowledge of fire safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and conflict de-escalation methods Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-pressure situations
