Duties Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software and confirm upcoming visits. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about services, appointment availability, and insurance details. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and perform medical billing using systems such as Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend. Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient care plans are followed. Experience Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information diligently. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite for administrative support tasks. Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong phone etiquette, customer service orientation, clerical experience, and office management skills are vital for success in this role.
