Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Office professional to join our vibrant dental team. In this essential role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your expertise in medical administrative support, medical billing, and health information management will be vital in maintaining efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using dental clinic management software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections accurately and promptly Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in documentation review Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks to update patient information and manage electronic health records (EHR) Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls appropriately Assist with medical coding including CPT codes, ICD-9/10 codes, and Medicare billing to ensure proper documentation and reimbursement Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation, filing medical records, and reviewing health information management procedures Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office for administrative tasks such as report generation and correspondence Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while managing health insurance information and medical billing processes Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Proven clerical experience with strong computer skills in EMR/EHR management systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms Knowledge of health insurance procedures including HIPAA compliance, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), Medicare processes, and medical billing practices Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated customer service excellence with strong phone communication skills and professional demeanor Experience with medical office management tasks such as filing, 10-key typing, appointment scheduling, and health information management is desirable Familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology enhances your ability to support the clinical team effectively Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by providing seamless administrative support that keeps our clinic running smoothly.
