Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of medical claims and patient billing. Your expertise will help streamline healthcare claims management, support medical billing operations, and enhance patient satisfaction through clear communication and precise record-keeping. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, contributing to the seamless flow of healthcare information and financial transactions. Duties Review and analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements to verify claim details, payments, adjustments, and denials. Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve discrepancies related to DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding. Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims using billing software and healthcare claims management tools. Ensure accuracy in medical records, medical coding, and billing documentation by cross-referencing medical terminology and coding standards. Utilize EMR/EHR systems to update patient records, track claim statuses, and document communications related to billing issues. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining EOB details clearly to patients and addressing their inquiries professionally. Maintain compliance with health insurance policies, medical billing regulations, and privacy standards while managing sensitive medical records. Skills Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management processes, including familiarity with
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for data entry and reporting. Experience working with billing software and EMR/EHR systems within a medical office environment. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and health insurance procedures. Demonstrated ability to handle medical collections efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex billing information clearly. Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to medical billing, coding standards, and patient privacy laws.
