Job Description

Overview The Bird and Exotic Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, organized receptionist for a fast-paced exotic-only veterinary practice. The responsibilities include client greeting, phone management, scheduling, record entry, financial transactions, and biosecurity awareness. Prior veterinary reception is required. Full time, competitive pay and benefits, training provided. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs with enthusiasm and professionalism Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments. Coordinate with veterinary staff to facilitate smooth communication between clients and the medical team Requirements At least 1 year experience as a veterinary receptionist Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal handling techniques, and restraint procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterinary staff, and pet owners from diverse backgrounds Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining attention to detail We are dedicated to supporting your growth in the veterinary field by providing opportunities to expand your skills in critical care environments, laboratory work, and specialized animal handling.
