Role:

As a Physical Therapist (PT) in the healthcare and social assistance industry, you will play a critical role in helping patients improve their physical mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries. Your primary objective will be to assess patients' physical conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to restore function and enhance quality of life. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health. Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in the United States. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings. Specialty certifications such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS). Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Additional training in manual therapy or specialized treatment modalities. Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical abilities, limitations, and needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient function and reduce pain. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes. Document patient care activities, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and health maintenance. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and facility policies.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Physical Therapist to accurately assess patient conditions and design effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care. Clinical knowledge and hands-on therapeutic skills are applied daily to administer treatments that improve mobility and reduce pain.
