Role:

As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric populations within clinical and educational settings. Your work will focus on early intervention strategies to support children with articulation difficulties, language disorders, and conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Collaborating closely with physical therapists, educators, and families, you will develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication and enhance overall developmental outcomes. You will also contribute to school programs by providing therapy services and training staff to support students' speech and language needs. Ultimately, your expertise will empower children to improve their communication skills, fostering greater confidence and participation in social and academic environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Speech Therapist in the United States. Experience working with pediatric populations, including children with speech and language disorders. Knowledge of early intervention techniques and evidence-based therapy practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Familiarity with school-based therapy programs and educational regulations. Training or experience collaborating with physical therapists in integrated care settings. Additional certifications or training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children referred to therapy services. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, language development, and communication skills. Provide direct therapy services in clinical, school, and home settings, adapting techniques to meet each child's unique needs. Collaborate with physical therapists, educators, and families to coordinate care and support holistic developmental progress. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals. Participate in early intervention programs and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings. Educate parents, caregivers, and school staff on strategies to support speech and language development outside of therapy sessions.
