Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Front Desk Receptionist and be the welcoming face of our clinic! You will handle a variety of administrative duties, coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance information, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service at all times Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Schedule appointments accurately while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for dental and medical plans such as Medicare or Medicaid Collect payments, process billing, and perform medical collection activities when necessary Maintain accurate and confidential dental records and medical documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Open dental Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other health information management standards Assist with office management tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and managing dental office supplies Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role with strong front desk or receptionist background Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, and dental billing practices Ability to handle insurance verification processes efficiently and accurately Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing skills (including 10-key typing) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and office management tasks Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic experience or hospital experience is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor This role is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.
