vaccination required for candidate consideration- Key Responsibilities Review and verify the validity of medical record requests, including authorizations, subpoenas, and court orders Greet patients and visitors to the department; assist with completion of medical record authorization forms Process and release patient health information in a timely and secure manner Utilize Epic and other hospital systems to locate, retrieve, and document patient information Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to releasing records Retrieve radiology films by walking to and from the Radiology Film Department as needed Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls; return voicemails promptly and professionally Perform clerical and medical receptionist duties as assigned Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to accept additional duties within the scope of the role
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience with Epic's ROI module Knowledge of medical terminology Professional, empathetic face-to-face customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Accurate and efficient data entry skills Ability to operate office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and microfilm machinesPreferred:
Prior experience in Release of Information (ROI) or a medical office setting Working knowledge of HIPAA regulationsSkills and Competencies:
Display a courteous and professional manner through interaction, appearance, attitude, and with written and oral communication the public Team-oriented with a positive attitude Strong organizational skills Effective time management skills with multi-tasking abilities Ability to work well under pressure Meticulous attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, unpredictable (at times) environment Provide excellent customer service with: demonstrated compassion, ability to assess situations & identify concerns and give timely follow up Ability to protect & maintain the confidentiality of patient's medical records and patient information Handle patient information with discretion and integrityJob Type:
