Overview Join our dynamic pediatric dental practice as a Dental Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will be vital in delivering exceptional patient experiences. This role combines front desk responsibilities with insurance coordination, requiring a proactive attitude and strong administrative skills. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with enthusiasm and professionalism Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and follow up on outstanding payments using Curve Dental Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits while providing excellent customer service Maintain accurate documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and billing records to ensure proper reimbursement Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, including data entry, updating patient information, and ensuring compliance with health information management standards Handle phone communication professionally using proper phone etiquette; respond promptly to inquiries regarding appointments or insurance matters Skills Minimum of two years' experience in a medical or dental administrative role with a focus on insurance coordination and front desk duties Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and documentation review to ensure accurate claims submission Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) with fast 10-key typing ability Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail and clinical confidentiality This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to providing outstanding dental care.
