Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections with attention to detail Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Review documentation for accuracy, including care plans, medical notes, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and other medical documentation review tasks Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, ensuring proper filing, data entry, and document management Requirements Proven experience in a medical office environment or clinic setting with strong clerical skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing procedures Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (including 10-key typing) Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management practices Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Prior clinic or hospital experience is highly desirable Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality healthcare delivery while advancing their administrative expertise.
