Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides indirect patient care in the medical surgical setting. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records in the Medical Surgical Unit. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
TYPE:
Full-Time; Nights -primarily (but may be required to work any day/night shift to assist with providing shift coverage).
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. Clerical/computer skills required. Current BCLS Certification (can be obtained after employed).
SKILLS:
Proficient oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Basic Computer Knowledge Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required.
