Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

Front Desk Medical Receptionist wanted for a busy, family-friendly private optometric practice in Syracuse. Must have Medical Front desk experience. Optical experience a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

Patient / Customer Care Meet and greet patients and customers and help with their needs Manage the reception desk and direct phone traffic Review and record medical history Maintain electronic patient files Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments Administrative Order contact lenses for patients Submit and troubleshoot claims Enter charges and payments into computer system Assist with scheduling patient referrals conducted outside of our office Obtain insurance authorization and verification Experience in vision care preferred, but will consider candidates with other medical, dental or administrative background.
