Job Description

PRINE health is looking for a new team member! We are seeking a front desk receptionist / Medical Assistant who is motivated and focused on improving patient care, willing to learn different roles in the office. We are looking for an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. The candidate should be well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting our busy Podiatry offices. Days needed Tuesdays and Fridays - generally 9-5.
Duties and responsibilities:
Answers phones and assists patients with scheduling appointments. Assists and monitors all outgoing referrals and authorizations. Performs additional duties including but not limited to recording payment, faxing information as required, generating authorization requests, and verifying insurance eligibility. Interview patients and document basic medical history Update and file medical records and insurance reports Check with patients and type up patients' charts. Assist during medical examinations and medical procedures. Check vitals, prepare the patient or the procedures. Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments. Call insurances for prior authorizations of procedures Skills Proven working experience as a medical receptionist and as a medical assistant. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Social perceptiveness and service oriented Strong organizational and planning skills
Bilingual Spanish Qualifications:
2 years of medical office required. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent customer service skills
Bilingual Spanish Required:
Ability to commute to other Podiatry to cover at other locations in Nassau County if necessary.

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
