4 days per week Front Office Receptionist Salem Periodontal Specialists Salem Periodontal Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service while efficiently managing front-office responsibilities in a busy periodontal specialty practice. Key Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner. Check patients out and accurately process payments and account information. Review and explain financial arrangements, treatment costs, and payment options to patients. Present treatment plans and clearly explain recommended procedures and associated financial responsibilities. Verify and communicate with dental insurance companies regarding benefits, eligibility, coverage, and claims. Contact insurance companies to obtain necessary information and resolve insurance questions. Answer multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries professionally. Make appointment reminder and confirmation calls. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and financial information. Enter and maintain data accurately in spreadsheets and office systems. Track insurance information, treatment plans, payments, and other office details. Communicate effectively with doctors, clinical staff, patients, and referring dental offices. Assist with keeping the front office organized and running efficiently. Protect patient confidentiality and follow all applicable office policies and procedures. Provide a welcoming and positive experience for every patient. Qualifications & Skills Previous dental or medical front-office experience preferred. Experience with dental insurance and treatment coordination is highly desirable. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Extremely detail-oriented and organized . Comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients. Strong computer skills and ability to learn practice-management software. Comfortable creating, maintaining, and updating spreadsheets . Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to handle confidential patient and financial information with discretion. Strong follow-through and attention to accuracy. The right person will be confident discussing finances and treatment plans while providing a warm and professional patient experience.
Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 per week
