Job Description
Podiatric Medical Receptionist A self-starter, reliable, a team player who is dependable, and has excellent communication skills to represent Blair Foot and Ankle on a daily basis. Must be adaptable to change and able deal with the daily load of a busy office. A detail - oriented person who will put our patients first and provide assistance in the coordination of their care. Quality and precision focused person who will assist in encouraging a cooperative and collaborative working environment. Job duties are listed but not limited to:
Job Duties:
- Insurance verification
- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Check-in/check-out patients
- Manage paperwork and medical files
- Collect co-pays
- Present and explain credit card policy
- Assist patients over the phone with questions
- Assist with billing, appeals, and processing payments
- Knowledge of computer programs.
- Knowledge of business office procedures.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
- Communicate with other health care professionals in a respectful and kind manner that is helpful to the patient.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
- Must be familiar and adhere to HIPPA compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
- Insurance knowledge
- Medical office experience
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
