Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as directed by physicians
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as macpractice
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional patient service
