Job duties include:
Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answering phone calls and responding to emails or inquiries.
Scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
Registering new patients and updating patient records.
Verifying insurance information and obtaining necessary authorizations.
Collecting co-payments and processing payments.
Maintaining accurate electronic and paper medical records.
Checking patients in and out of appointments.
Coordinating communication between patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Managing appointment calendars and ensuring efficient patient flow.
Handling referrals, medical forms, and correspondence.
Protecting patient confidentiality and complying with privacy regulations.
Ordering and maintaining office and medical supplies.
Performing general office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
