Key Responsibilities As our Front Desk Coordinator, you will help keep the front office running smoothly and ensure our patients receive excellent service from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Experience:
Warmly greeting patients and creating a friendly, welcoming environment
Check-In & Check-Out:
Efficiently checking patients in and out and making sure all necessary information is completed
Phones:
Answering incoming calls professionally, assisting patients with questions, and directing calls appropriately
Scheduling:
Scheduling, rescheduling, and optimizing appointments using
Open Dental Appointment Confirmations:
Making confirmation calls and following up with patients regarding upcoming appointments
Patient Communication:
Responding to patient messages, texts, and emails in a timely and professional manner
Payments:
Collecting copays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances and communicating financial information clearly and respectfully
Insurance:
Reviewing insurance information and assisting patients with basic insurance and financial questions
Teamwork:
Communicating effectively with the clinical team to help maintain an efficient daily schedule
Recall & Follow-Up:
Assisting with patient recall and reactivation as needed
Qualifications Required:
Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, professional, and positive attitude Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Professional and confident phone communication Dependable, punctual, and responsible Comfortable discussing patient payments and balances in a professional, non-confrontational manner Ability to work well with a small team
Preferred:
1+ year of dental front-office experience General dentistry experience Experience with Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or other dental software Familiarity with dental terminology and insurance Experience with patient scheduling and dental billing Spanish/English or other bilingual skills are a plus Dental front-office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has excellent customer-service skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
