We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Office Front Desk Treatment Care Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing appointment scheduling, patient communication, and administrative tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance details, and update patient records accurately within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily patient flow. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all documentation review and data entry are completed with precision. Handle billing and collections by submitting claims, following up on unpaid accounts, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy policies. Assist with medical coding tasks including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 coding for procedures and diagnoses to ensure accurate billing and documentation. Maintain organized medical records, including filing paper documents and managing electronic health records (EHR) with systems like eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth. Communicate effectively via phone and email with patients regarding appointment confirmations, treatment plans, insurance inquiries, and follow-up care instructions. Support clinical staff by reviewing care plans, verifying insurance coverage for procedures such as Medicare or Medicaid services, and ensuring all documentation aligns with healthcare regulations. Uphold confidentiality policies by adhering to HIPAA guidelines during all patient interactions and record management activities.
