Job Description

Medical receptionists in our facility welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. This position is responsible for front-office operations, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, verifying insurance information, and supporting the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations of the practice. Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Register new patients and update existing patient demographic information. Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations as required. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Check patients in and out according to office procedures. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, fax, and electronic communications. Respond to patient inquiries and route clinical questions to appropriate staff. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and practice information. Ensure reception and waiting areas remain clean, organized, and professional. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry. Support providers and clinical staff with administrative needs as assigned. Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical receptionist, healthcare customer service, or medical office experience required. Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred. Bilingual skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
