The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and support the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and a professional demeanor to ensure a positive patient experience. Prior clinic experience, especially in ophthalmology or medical offices, is highly valued. Duties Greet patients warmly and handle check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism Schedule appointments using EMR system Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes Collect payments Manage patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and assist patients with inquiries Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and other documentation Support office management and billing department with tasks such as filing, data entry, and general clerical duties Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely care plans and follow-up appointments Qualifications Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (10-key typing) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Previous clinic or hospital experience is preferred; ophthalmic office experience is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
