Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. Your organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently will help maintain a positive environment while supporting the clinical team with administrative duties. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere. Manage patient appointments using patient management software and EMR/EHR (Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records) systems. Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries in accordance with health insurance policies. Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to health regulation policies and privacy standards at all times. Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and updating patient records with precision. Assist in coordinating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless service delivery. Requirements Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance). Familiarity with medical terminology and medical administrative support functions. Experience using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person. Understanding of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies. Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry and correspondence.
