Medical Assistant/Medical Secretary Medicine and Long Term Care Associates, LLC Cranston, RI Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $19 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are a primary care office seeking to hire a full or part-time medical assistant/medical secretary. Salary to be determined based on experience. No previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant is required, but is recommended . We will train the right candidate. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma and/or higher education Interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize work Punctuality and self-discipline Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Detail-oriented Willingness to learn Main Responsibilities Check-in and check-out patients at the front desk; includes verifying and updating patient information and insurance and collecting payment for services rendered. Schedule and remind patients of upcoming appointments. Answer and return calls in a timely manner. Assist with prior authorization and referral processes. Assist medical provider in the examination room; maintain cleanliness of rooms after each patient. Conduct clinical tasks; includes measuring and recording vital signs, documenting basic medical history, administering injections, EKGs and other procedures as needed. Backup other staff members as needed. Assist with tasks related to quality measures.
