Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our assisted living team. This position combines medication management with caregiver responsibilities to ensure residents receive quality care and support. The Med Tech will be responsible for safely administering prescribed medications, assisting residents with activities of daily living, monitoring resident well-being, and maintaining accurate documentation. No injections are required; this position involves medication passing only in accordance with facility policies and training. Responsibilities Administer and document prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility procedures. Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance. Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the appropriate staff. Measure and record vital signs as needed. Maintain accurate medication records and resident documentation. Provide compassionate care while promoting resident dignity, comfort, and independence. Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines. Assist with housekeeping and other resident-related tasks as needed. Requirements Med Tech certification or relevant medication administration experience preferred. Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, senior care, or caregiving preferred. Experience working with residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent resident care. Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
