Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Medication History Pharmacy Technician at our team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown and South. This is a full-time opportunity, working three twelve-hour shifts per week. This is a clinical, patient facing position, working within the Emergency Department. This Pharmacy Technician must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer service skills as they will be working face-to-face with patients and with our Telepharmacy technology. This Pharmacy Technician will be interviewing patients to obtain and document home history information. The candidate will work within an interdisciplinary team including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians and should be able to work independently. Some basic knowledge of medications is required. This candidate must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida and have at least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. All professional communications and final checks performed by this candidate will be approved by the Pharmacist. As a Medication History Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for: Providing medication history support services, under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist. Performing medication history interviews. Documenting information in the electronic medical record. Communication with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
