Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our team on Saturdays, working from 7 AM to 8 PM. In this vital role, you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring residents' health, and providing exceptional personal care within a vibrant senior living or healthcare environment. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe, timely medication management and compassionate support, fostering a comfortable and respectful atmosphere. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs, health status, and response to medications, documenting findings meticulously in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist residents with personal care needs including hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring dignity and respect at all times Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication logs, care plans, and progress notes, while adhering to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and communicate any changes in residents' conditions or behaviors Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care through compassionate engagement and tailored interventions Ensure safe manual handling practices during resident transfers or heavy lifting tasks, following proper protocols for resident safety Experience Prior experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures such as tube feeding or catheter care Demonstrated competence in medication administration and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is advantageous Valid certification as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) along with current CPR and First Aid/Basic Life Support certifications Understanding of state Board of Nursing regulations and compliance requirements related to medication management and patient safety Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining resident comfort and safety Join our team if you're passionate about providing high-quality senior care with enthusiasm and professionalism.
