Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding—especially in memory care and hospice settings Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication management involving complex medical terminology Document all patient care activities thoroughly in medical records ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and privacy laws Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition promptly to nursing staff or medical professionals Provide compassionate caregiving support tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities or working in home & community care environments Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments with familiarity in senior and hospice care Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures Skilled in operating EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and record keeping Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia Ability to perform catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and vital signs measurement confidently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Demonstrated compassion and patience when providing care for vulnerable populations across diverse settings This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to the well-being of others through dedicated caregiving.
